Who We Are

Invisible Illness Awareness Network (IIAN) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by volunteers that is striving to make the lives of those with invisible illnesses better. We are committed to raising awareness for invisible illnesses, especially for future (and current) health care professionals.

What We Do

Our mission is to: -Increase awareness about invisible illnesses, especially through our easily adaptable education program designed for high schools, colleges, and other forms of higher education -Provide resources and support for the invisible illness community -Foster compassion and understanding between patients, providers, and the general population -Create a safe and supportive environment for those living with invisible illnesses -Reduce the stigma associated with invisible illnesses and Disabilities Our vision is to improve quality of life for patients and families affected by invisible illnesses in addition to lowering diagnostic delays so people are not suffering for years without help.
