Meets once a month at Lake Barrington Woods.  Volunteer needed to assist in serving food, pouring drinks, engaging in conversation.  At times drive them to and from the meeting. Fun and interactive group.

Assist older adults in our community by driving them to and from appointments and errands. All rides are local to the greater Barrington Area in the day time hours, Monday-Friday.  Senior clients must be able to enter/exit car without assistance.

Bacoa needs a monthly volunteer to assemble weekly engagement packets for our clients that participate in the Meals With Wheels Program.  These packets are information and activity packets that include games, puzzles and trivia to keep our participants engaged on a daily basis.  These packets will be printed and assembled in the Bacoa office.

We’re excited to announce the return of one of the Barrington area’s most unique fall events. MID MOD BARRINGTON , a self-guided tour showcasing iconic mid-century modern homes designed by architectural legends like Frank Lloyd Wright, Edward Dart, Harry Weese, and Keck & Keck.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, and will feature beautifully preserved and rarely accessible homes.

Proceeds directly benefit Bacoa and its vital work supporting older adults and caregivers across our community. 

We invite you to become a Mid Mod event volunteer.  To thank you for your time, you will receive a complimentary ticket to see the homes on the tour either before or after your shift.  

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Volunteers will either be check-in at St. Michael's Church or at one of the homes on tour.  You will help direct guests as to where to enter the home and make sure they have an event wristband and provided shoe covers.
