Volunteer: Finance Operations Coordinator (Volunteer / Part-Time)

Parker Players Theater Company seeks a highly organized Finance Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day financial workflows of the organization.

This role works closely with the Board President, Treasurer, Artistic Director and external accounting partner Plante Moran to help ensure that payments, documentation, financial tracking, and operational systems are handled accurately and on time.

Responsibilities include preparing and tracking payments, organizing invoices and receipts, monitoring upcoming financial obligations, coordinating vendor accounts, managing credit card and reimbursement workflows, tracking production expenses, organizing bar and sales tax documentation, and maintaining financial records and W9 information.

The Finance Operations Coordinator plays an important role in preparing structured financial information for Plante Moran, who maintains the organization’s accounting records and produces financial reporting. The position helps create strong internal systems and clear financial organization while supporting leadership and the board.

This is an execution-focused role centered on coordination, organization, and follow-through. Final spending approval and payment execution remain with organizational leadership.

The Treasurer works collaboratively with board leadership, the Artistic Director, finance operations support, and external accounting partner Plante Moran.

Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements prepared by Plante Moran, presenting financial updates to the board, supporting annual budgeting and strategic planning, monitoring cash flow and financial sustainability, overseeing audit and compliance processes, and serving as an authorized signer on approved company payments.

The Treasurer will work in conjunction with Plante Moran, who maintains the organization’s accounting records and prepares financial reporting, helping ensure strong financial controls, transparency, and sound stewardship practices.

This is not a day-to-day bookkeeping role. Administrative financial operations are supported internally and by external accounting professionals, allowing the Treasurer to focus on leadership, stewardship, and financial clarity.
