Planting Flint Creek Savanna

Join Flint Creek/Spring Creek Watersheds Partnership and Citizens for Conservation for planting along the streambanks at Flint Creek Savanna.  We will install 3500 seedlings of sedges and other native plants selected to outcompete the invasive plants that were removed.  The native plant seedlings will grow and spread to protect the streambanks and flood plain from erosion, improve water quality, infiltrate rain water into the ground, attract pollinators and be BEAUTIFUL! 

This is a family-friendly event.  Kids under 14 should be supervised by a parent. 

Grab work gloves if you have them and join us for a morning helping to heal nature!  Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended.
