Barrington Dance Ensemble is seeking energetic, friendly volunteers to serve as Gala Games Runners during our annual fundraising gala.
This year’s event features a glamorous James Bond-inspired theme, and Games Runners help create a smooth, exciting guest experience while supporting one of BDE’s most important fundraising nights of the year.
Volunteer responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with event games and guest participation
- Helping guests understand activities or directing them to stations
- Delivering supplies or materials to activity areas as needed
- Supporting auction/fundraising logistics and guest flow
- Assisting event staff with light event troubleshooting and transitions
- Helping with setup, reset, or end-of-evening breakdown
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys fast-paced events, interacting with people, and being part of a mission-driven evening.
No prior experience is required — just enthusiasm, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in where needed.
Funds raised at the gala support youth dance education, scholarships, performances, and community outreach programs.
Volunteer Requirements / Helpful Notes

- Comfortable standing/walking throughout the event
- Comfortable helping guests and moving between activity areas
- Black attire or event-appropriate attire preferred
