Volunteers who enjoy area nature photography, or writing short articles of Watershed activities or clean water challenges or helpful hints for homeowners regarding how native plants contribute to clean water, flood control, butterflies and birds as well as emerging challenges to protecting the watersheds. 2. Volunteers who enjoy learning about the watersheds and are interested in developing short presentations on topics for civic organizations or various village boards about strategies to protect our water quality and drinking water supplies. Volunteers would work closely with the Flint Creek/Spring Creek watersheds Partnership coordinator for background and training. General familiarity with MS4 regulations a plus. There is also the potential for the Volunteer or Volunteers to assist in the update of the Spring Creek Watersheds Plan, due in 2022 to the IEPA.
