Elderwerks provides senior living coordination, advocacy and education to older adults, family members and aging services professionals. In many instances our senior advisors serve as a “lifeline” or “personal confidant” to older adults who literally have no one living nearby. We provide complimentary referral services to vetted supportive care providers and help families secure personalized living and benefits information.
Our senior advisors are experts in senior housing of all types. We have toured all senior communities in Illinois, documenting the services, amenities, and quality of care to ensure our clients transition to the best option based on their individual needs. Elderwerks' senior advisors view life as a continuum, guiding older adults and their loved ones through a thorough, compassionate life-planning process.
We offer education on senior topics to help people plan for future needs and help them understand important topics that will affect them. Our professional continuing education offers education on senior topics for nurses, professional counselors, social workers and nursing home administrators.
We print a 350+ page Elderwerks Senior Resource Directory for the state of Illinois which includes all local and federal programming.
Our special programs include:
- Make a Senior Smile (MASS) which collects cards, poems, art and drawings and we deliver to isolated seniors.
- Stepping Out to Fitness is a free fitness challenge for anyone who wants some motivation to move. Raffle prizes are awarded monthly. Our next Stepping Out to Fitness challenge takes place January 2023 until December 2023.
- Elderwerks Aging Better Expo is a free annual event that is held every August. In 2024, it will take place on August 14 at the Stonegate Conference Centre in Hoffman Estates. Join Elderwerks for our fun and educational Expo where you'll learn, engage with our speakers, resource booths, and attendees. The Expo will be in-person and also live-streamed including expert education, tips on aging topics, local resources, and prizes for registrants and attendees.
