Who We Are

Barrington Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization comprised of women from the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Formed in 1936, BJWC’s mission is to focus on philanthropy and community service in the local area.

What We Do

Barrington Junior Women’s Club donates countless hours to our community through a variety of initiatives supporting those of all ages and levels of need.  These include tutoring at Sunny Hill Elementary, delivering Meals on Wheels to those in need, sorting and providing all the toys for Barrington Giving Day, participating in a Community Meal, planning activities for Scarecrow Fest, volunteering at Feed My Starving Children, offering the ever-popular educational program Safety Town, and recognizing “unsung heroes” in our town with our Character Counts ceremony each Spring, and planning lunchtime celebrations for senior citizens around several holidays.
