Parker Players Theater Company is seeking organized, friendly, and dependable volunteers to serve as ticket takers and hall monitors during performances at the Barrington Theater.
These positions help front-of-house operations and ensures that patrons have a smooth and welcoming theater experience from arrival through curtain call.
Responsibilities include:
- Arriving one hour before the performance to greet patrons
- use the ticketing tablets to check patrons in
- Greeting patrons as they enter the building, pushing a button to open the door
- Assisting with patron check-in, walk-up ticket sales, and audience questions
- Monitoring lobby before the show and during intermission
- Supporting post-show audience exit and venue clean-up
The ideal volunteer is calm under pressure, highly organized, and enjoys interacting with people. Strong communication skills and comfort troubleshooting minor issues (technology, guest questions, logistics) are helpful. Previous theater, event, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. As a thank-you for your time and support, House Managers are invited to enjoy the performance free of charge.
