Our all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit is looking for a dedicated volunteers who are committed to becoming competent and registered animal-assisted therapy handlers through Pet Partners (see www.petpartners.org), as well as helping with and attending fundraisers, attending training and visits with our animals, grooming and cleaning stalls, and most importantly, advocating for our animals by establishing relationships built on trust.
Interested in joining us with your well-trained animal? Attend and we will guide you to become a registered Pet Partners team so you can join us!
We require a minimum twice per month minimum commitment for visits and training. Equine and dog experience is helpful but not required. We will provide mentors to assist you on your journey to becoming a registered animal-assisted handler using the therapy animals of SOUL Harbour Ranch or your own beloved animal.

Minimum age requirement is 14, no exceptions. Teens under 16 must have a parent present on site at all training and visit sessions.
Pet Partners Handler course ($70, www.petpartners.org) must be completed by each volunteer within 3 months of start of volunteering with us. Volunteers must demonstrate the ability to kneel, be agile, and be fit to walk in our programs, as well as have the ability to multitask with good cognition (handle and talk to those we visit, while maintaining safety for our animals and humans). We are looking for volunteers who can assist at weekday and weekend visits and events.
