Description

The Peter Wulff Center supports short term projects that engage youth to create social entrepreneurial methods to raise funds. One such cause is the growing problem of food insecurity among families locally and in the Chicagoland area. Students have come up with unique ideas to raise funds. For example a volunteer gifted cook, Zein Bertacchi makes 10 oz boxes of her Hummus and youth volunteers sell it locally. Already the funds raised from sales of the hummus allowed groceries to be purchased for 2 families. The students acquire marketing, public relations and tech skills while also raising funds. More about how children have raised almost $300,000 in the last 25 years is available in this short iBook: https://books.apple.com/us/book/raising-social-entrepreneurs/id1572892938
