Elderwerks is seeking volunteers for our Aging Better Expo. The Expo will take place at the Stonegate Conference Centre, 2401 W. Higgins Rd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169 on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Attendees have the opportunity to attend educational sessions throughout the day and speak with resource booth representatives. We will be providing complimentary breakfast and lunch to attendees, volunteers, and resource booth representatives. The Expo will be in-person and also live-streamed including expert education, tips on aging topics, local resources, and prizes for attendees.
Volunteers will be assigned a variety of tasks including:
- Welcoming attendees
- Passing out & collecting evaluations during educational sessions
- Recording educational sessions
- Helping to manage livestream educational sessions
- Distributing breakfast & lunch
- Directing attendees in the parking lot and within building
- Answering questions at the information booth
- Monitoring booths in the ballroom
- Assisting in the mobile eye/hearing screen booth
- Tear down and clean up
Schedule for the Day:
- Staff, Resource Booth Vendors Arrive for Set Up 7:00AM-8:15AM
- Attendees Arrive & Resource Booths Open 8:30AM
- Educational Classes 9:00AM-11:30AM
- Lunch 11:30AM-1:00PM
- Educational Classes 1:00PM-3:30PM
- Resource Booths Close 2:30PM
